[edit] Description
The Joker 's faithful companion and girlfriend Dr. Harleen Quinzel or Harley Quinn, is just as insane and dangerous as "Mr. J" himself! Usually underestimated, she can destroy Gotham in a day. This Clown Princess of Crime has even Batman worried!
[edit] Origin
Dr. Harleen Quinzel was a brilliant scientist and psychologist. She decided she wanted to work in Arkham Asylum to help the criminals there. She was signed to help The Joker. He seduced her and twisted her mind to his liking. He lied to her to gain her sympathy, and changed her forever. One day he escaped and Dr. Quinzel was frantic! He returned, but in bad shape. Apparently he and Batman fought before Joker was captured. This was the last straw for Harleen, or should I say Harley Quinn! She stole a Harlequinn costume and busted out The Joker. They were partners ever since!
[edit] Methods
Harley Quinn has an arsenal of clown-themed gadgets and weapons. Though only a few prove to be useful. One of those is a hammer she uses for various crimes. She is also an incredible gymnast in combat and an expert in hand-to-hand. When alone (which almost never happens), she goes for small prizes, such as robbing banks or stealing gems from a museum. But when Joker's fighting Batman, he needs a little extra help.

[edit] Trivia
Harley Quinn is one of few Bat-Characters who did not make a first appearance in The Batman comics, but in the popular 1992 cartoon Batman: The Animated Series.
